Chapter 2
I walked to my locker, still can’t get Elliot’s expressions out of my head. Soon, I feel someone’s tugging my hair. I turned around in surprise, “Huh?”
“It’s me, Chloe Westbrook?” The girl behind me said with a slight sarcasm.
Chloe Christine Westbrook has been my best friend for a long time, i don’t know, since kindergarten? She sometimes is a bit annoying, but she’s truly a kind person.
“How was Camp Thunderbird?” I asked while I walked out of Art.
“Awesome! We had a race to see who picked the most wood for the fire, and guess what? I won!!” She said in excitement as if she had been waiting forever to tell me this.
“Good for you!” I said, sharing her happiness.
“Where were you? I couldn’t find you.” Chloe had a concerned look on her face.
I smiled and answered, “Oh, I didn’t go because I don’t like camping.”
“At least try! It’s really fun! You get to sit around the fire and tell...anyways where were you when everyone else was camping?” She said in suspicion, “Flirting with boys? Well I guess you never like anyone. You never understands about true love.” Chloe had a dreamy expression while she was saying this.
“At strings class I did theory with Elliot.” I answered, “not much going on.”
“Oh? How was it?” Chloe had a mysterious smile on her face.
“Not bad.” I answered, “he was pretty weird.”
“Really? I never knew you like theory and who is Elliot? I mean, I know who he is, but….”
“But what?” I said in confusion.
“I dunno, do you like him?” I blushed when she said that. “Wait, you’re blushing because you like him right?”
“No way!” I said. Then I quickly changed the topic. “Are you going to after-school badminton practice?”
“Yeah! Let’s go!” She said, Chloe had always love sports, any kind of sports.
“Hey, wait for me!” I called after her, she became very energetic when she is talking about sports too.
I ran after Chloe to the girl’s change room. I quickly got into my school PE gears. I used to do traditional chinese dances, it needs to have dancers change very quickly or else they are disqualified. So I went into the habit of changing extremely quick
“Come on Evelyn!” Even though I was a fast changer, Chloe can change even quicker than me when it’s time for sports.
“Ok, but wait I can’t find my racket!” I said worriedly.
Chloe and I quickly went through my gym bag and found my racket. We quickly ran to the gym. When we got there, I saw Elliot and his friend Nicholas Lockwood playing a quick relay. Elliot was really good at it! I couldn’t help myself but watch them. Suddenly, I heard Chloe yelled, but I couldn’t find out what she was saying. Then, when I turned around, a thing seems like a racket hit my face and I felt myself falling.
Falling.
And falling.
My vision blurred out, and I heard a thud.
I fell to a place of darkness… Like there wasn’t a bottom.

And all I could make out of my mouth was the word “Elliot.”

Chap 3, Boys View I turned around as I heard the thud that’s coming from behind me. Then i saw evelyn, falling onto the ground, with a racket beside her. I saw her mouthed my name, then she became very still. Then I realize I the situation I am in, and I dropped my own racquet, and ran towards her. Nicholas seemed to be running away, probably for a teacher’s help. “Evelyn? Are you ok? Hey girl, don’t fall asleep on me.” The girl, whom if I recalled clearly, called Chloe Westbrook, is kneeling beside her, almost crying. “Hi Chloe,” I said as I kneld down, “What happened? OK, you can tell me in the infirmary, but let’s get her up first.”   Chloe Westbrook took her eyes off Evelyn, and looked at me, stunned. “Wait, are you…” “No time to talk, she might die here,” I kind of half joked, in a serious way. It seemed to have an effect on Chloe, and she immediately tried to pick Evelyn off the shiny gym floor. “Mind if I take her?” I smiled kindly. She glared at me, but hand...
